Bronco is a Western series on ABC from 1958 through 1962. It had been demonstrated by the BBC in britain. The scheduled plan starred Ty Hardin as Bronco Layne, a previous Confederate officer who wandered the Aged West, conference such well-known people as Wild Costs Hickok, Billy the young kid, Jesse James, Theodore Roosevelt, Belle Starr, Cole Younger, and John Wesley Hardin (the latter performed by Scott Marlowe).
Bronco premiered in nov 1958 when Warner Brothers executives and actor Clint Walker clashed over Walker's agreement on the series Cheyenne. Walker had walked from his present over such stringent clauses as a necessity that he return fifty percent of most personal appearance costs to Warner Brothers, and that he just record for Warner music labels. Once the two sides found an impasse, the network employed newcomer Ty Hardin to play the brand new personality of Bronco Layne, but held the name of Cheyenne.
When Walker returned to his series, Bronco became a spun from Cheyenne. Bronco initially alternated with another Western series, Sugarfoot, offering Will Hutchins. In 1960, both started alternating with Cheyenne beneath the Cheyenne name. Sugarfoot was dropped in 1961, leaving just Bronco and Cheyenne to alternate. Various other Warner Brothers westerns in creation around this right period included Maverick with James Garner, Jack Kelly, and Roger Moore, Colt .45 with Wayde Preston, and Lawman with John Russell; series individuals sometimes crossed over into each others' series.
